 What is Laser Therapy?  It is a drug free, noninvasive treatment to reduce pain, reduce inflammation and increase the speed of healing.  Laser therapy uses a beam of laser light to penetrate tissue without damaging it. Laser energy induces a biological response in the cells called photo-bio-modulation, which leads to reduced pain, reduced inflammation and increased healing speed.

 How it works. The laser light is delivered through a noninvasive hand piece to treat the affected area.  Your pet may feel a gentle and soothing warmth during the laser treatment.  Most treatments take a matter of minutes.

 

What conditions can be treated with laser therapy?  The number of conditions that can be successfully treated with laser therapy grows almost daily.  Laser is used with great success for wound healing.  It is also effective for reducing various type of pain.  Common acute conditions such as wounds, allergies, infections, cuts, bites, strains and sprains are frequently treated with laser.  Chronic conditions such as arthritis and degenerative joint disease, lick granulomas, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, tendonitis, hot spots and disc disease may also benefit from Laser Therapy.

 

What are the costs?  Treatment protocols are unique to each patient and condition. Therefore treatments will vary in time, complexity and cost.  Laser therapy can be used to enhance treatment plans recommended by your veterinarian.
